MY STORY
MY name is Albert B. Hinton Jr. and I was born on Aug 7, 1944 in Hattiesburg, Ms. I was born 7 years after my mother and father were married and my brother was born 7 years later on dec 14th. My wife was born on apr 7, 1946 and my son was born on feb 7, 1972. We know what satens number is (666) but did you know Gods number is SEVEN? My bible says so many times.

All my life I thought I was just lucky but now I have put things together. I went thru Viet Nam and many close calls including 3 deadly cancers due to agent orange. It wasnt luck but God watching over me.

When I was 60 my feet got infected and I almost lost them due to diebetes. A few months later I got a very aggressive bladder cancer. My bladder was removed along with my sex orgins. I had to take 8 months of chemo. During this time we found a spot on my liver and it was determind I had liver cancer. Thanks to a wonderful NRP with a heart of gold who found a surgen in Houston that would take my case. He removed 60% of the liver and the cancer was removed. A few months later a spot was found on my lungs and it was cancer. part of my lung was removed. After all this I am cancer free. I overheard my wife tell the NRP that she had been praying for me and that her prays had been answered.

On june 14, 2011 my wife went into the hospital to have a vain replaced in her right leg. This is a long operation of over 12 hours. She is a diebetic also and the leg got infected. Another 12 hour operation to remove the infection and part of the transplant. Then it got a blood clot that had to be unstopped. After all these operations and 9 pints of blood she was very weak. I said "stop.....no more". By then the leg as producing poision thruout the body and had to be removed, making her even weaker. A few days later on a sunday afternoon, her heart stopped and they had to use the paddles twice to get it started again. This put her into a coma. The doctors said she might come out of this coma in a hour, a day, a month or never. There is nothing they can do but wait. She was stable on life support so I went home. I set down and said there is nothing I can do......and then it hit me. I could do the same thing she did for me....PRAY. I called the churches
and everyone I know and asked them to pray for my wife. Monday morning I went back to the hospital and she was wide awake and looking me eye to eye. Everybody was saying she is one strong woman. I said,"no, she had a lot of pray for her and one strong God to pull her thru".

Hey Larry, I like the site. I left Richton a long time ago but in some ways it is still home and I like to be able to stay inYou touch. Also congrats on your 105th year. I kinda like Eddie Hoars "Looking back" piece. How about more stories about local businesses/people? One of the t.v. news networks used to do a series where the reporter randomly picked someone from the phone book and told their story. Whatcha think?
